QuestIsle for Nonprofits

Every child deserves an island

If your organisation helps children aged 5 to 12 learn, QuestIsle is free for the children in your care. Every island, every map, the dashboard for your team and offline play, for as long as your programme runs. No trial, no card, no catch.

  • Free for nonprofits
  • NGOs and charities
  • Community programmes
  • Plays offline

Why we give QuestIsle away

We built QuestIsle so that daily practice, the kind that makes times tables and phonics stick, would be something children want to do. That need is not smaller for a child in a shelter, a refugee centre or a community library. It is usually bigger, and the grown-ups around them have less time, fewer devices and no budget for apps.

So for organisations doing that work, QuestIsle is free. Not a cut-down version, not a trial: the whole island, every map, the dashboard and offline play. The only thing we ask for is a short check-in each term, so we can learn what helps and build more of it.

What's in the chest

Everything a paying family gets, plus the help a programme needs.

  • Every island, every map

All six subjects from kindergarten to grade 6, including every paid map pack, for every child in your programme.

  • Plays offline

Content packs download to the device and quests play without a connection. Progress syncs whenever the tablet next finds Wi-Fi.

  • Shared devices, many explorers

One account holds a whole room of explorer profiles. Children pick their name and their hero; nobody needs an email or a password.

  • A dashboard for your team

Tutors and carers get the same dashboard parents do: live status, accuracy by topic and suggested next quests for each child.

  • Onboarding and a named contact

We set the accounts up with you, walk your team through the app and stay reachable for as long as the programme runs.

  • A termly impact summary

Minutes practised, quests finished and skills gained across your programme, in a form you can drop straight into a funder report.

Who can apply

We keep the rules short on purpose. If your organisation ticks these four boxes, you qualify. If you are not sure, write to us anyway and we will work it out together.

Schools have their own programme with reduced rates for schools in hardship: QuestIsle for Schools.

Apply for free access
  • Registered as a nonprofit

A registered charity, NGO, foundation, society or community organisation, anywhere in the world.

  • Works directly with children aged 5 to 12

Tuition programmes, shelters, community centres, libraries, after-school clubs, refugee and hospital schooling.

  • Has a grown-up in the room

A tutor, carer or volunteer who can set children up, keep an eye on the dashboard and ask us for help.

  • Free means free

Access is for the children you serve. It cannot be resold, bundled into a paid service or passed to a for-profit partner.

How to apply

Four stops, usually a fortnight from first email to first quest.

  1. 1

    Write to us

Your organisation's name and registration, where you work, roughly how many children you support and the devices you have. A paragraph is enough.

  2. 2

    A short call

Within a week we talk through how your programme runs and agree the simplest setup: shared tablets, family phones or a mix.

  3. 3

    Access switched on

We unlock every island on your programme's accounts. There is nothing to buy in the App Store or Google Play, now or later.

  4. 4

    Children start exploring

Your team gets the dashboard, the children get the island, and we check in with you each term.

Questions programmes ask

Is it really free, with no catch?

Yes. There is no trial period, no card on file and no upgrade. Access runs for as long as your programme does, and we ask only for a short check-in each term so we can see what is working.

How does free access work in practice?

Our team unlocks every island directly on your programme's accounts, so nobody buys anything through the App Store or Google Play. Children on a shared tablet share one account with a profile each; families using their own phones get their own account unlocked.

We only have a few shared tablets. Is that enough?

It is how most programmes run QuestIsle. One account holds many explorer profiles, quests are ten minutes long so devices rotate quickly, and content plays offline once downloaded.

What about the children's data?

We store a name or nickname, a chosen hero and quest results, and nothing else about a child. There is no chat, no public profile and no advertising. Data is never sold, and we delete it the moment you ask.

Can a state school apply?

Schools have their own partnership programme with reduced rates for schools in hardship. If your school is run by a registered charity, apply here instead.

Is QuestIsle available in our language?

QuestIsle is in English today, with instructions read aloud for early readers. Tell us the languages your children speak when you apply; it helps us decide what to build next.

Open the chest for your children

One email is all it takes to start. Tell us who you are, who you help and what you have to play on, and we will take it from there.
